Visit My Hometown

I was born in Payakumbuh. I have been there for 19 years. Payakumbuh is located in West Sumatera. It is a small and very beautiful town, with fresh air and amazing view that you can not find in other towns. In downtown, you can find a business and government centre. In suburb, you will find amazing view rice fields, hills, mountain and jungle. It is still green here. You can also find many tourism objects. Payakumbuh is famous with water tourism, although Payakumbuh far from the sea. Here are some tourism objects in Payakumbuh :

Lembah Harau

Lembah Harau is the most famous tourism object in Payakumbuh. Many domestic tourists and foreign tourists come here for a trip. Lembah Harau had two points of tourism objects, Sarasa Bunta and Aka Barayun. There are 5 waterfalls at Sarasa Bunta and one waterfall at Aka Barayun. You can also climb the hill and see an amazing view from the top of the hill. There are some facilities here such as cottage, mini zoo, a track of hiking, and bendi. You can find many interesting souvenirs here. A nice tourism object to visit.

Ngalau Indah

Ngalau indah is located in Simarajo hill, Koto Nan Ampek. You can find a deep cave. If you come into the cave, you will smell something. It is the dirt from bats. Many bats live in this cave. If you out from the other side, you can see Payakumbuh’s view from the hill. It is amazing at night.

Pacu Itiak

Please come on January or February to Payakumbuh. There is a best track ever here, not track for bikes or cars, but it is a track for ducks, Pacu Itiak. It is very interesting! Many ducks are flying in front of your eyes. You must watch it!
